We are proud to present the first program which was conducted with the participation of four student Volunteers .
Gauri , ( 9th standard student of Shishugraha School
Shriya , (4th standard student of National Public School )
Raghav (9th standard Student of National Public School )
Abhinav ( 9th standard student of Frank Anthony Public School )
The presentation was held for class 11 and 12 ( PUC) students of St Meera’s High School, Cambridge road.
The session was attended by 40 students.
Raghav Abhinav and Arya helped design a Pre and Post Road-Safety test, to see the effectiveness of our presentation. The papers were corrected and graded by the student volunteers.
It was heartening to know that there was a marked improvement in scores. Eighty percent of the students who attended the lecture had grasped all the concepts of road safety.
This was also a learning experience for the student volunteers too. I would like to share Gauri’s feedback with all.
“I think it was a very eye-opening experience. I learnt so much about the problems our country is facing due to road accidents. The Arundhati Foundation has done a great thing by creating awareness about road accidents and the causes for them. The presentation was very easy to understand as it was more pictorial. There were so many facts and statistics about the number of accidents and causes. This made me think on this issue more than I ever have. I feel privileged to be a part of this program.”
The Arundhati Foundation gratefully acknowledges the contribution of Mr. Irfan Khan , the Principal of the PU College, and all the facilitators.
